Did you know? A group of Zebras is called a ‘Dazzle’ and Zebras and are known to travel long distances in search of pasture. They keep changing their grazing areas regularly and are seen to be on the move continuously. They play a very vital role in balancing the ecosystem. They are known to regulate vegetation, by eating old plants and stems as they migrate. This indirectly helps in creating new pastures for the other herbivores. They live in a very friendly habitat with the other herbivores such as the antelopes, namely the gazelles, impala, wildebeest, and elands, along with the giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants. Most importantly the ecosystem is balanced as zebras are an important source of food for many of the carnivores, predominantly lions and hyenas.
