So in the second weekend lockdown, I thought let me do some justice to the liver
This Amrut Fusion is good malt and am glad I opened it today, of course, the third bottle since it’s launch
A full-bodied, silky smooth single malt from Amrut Distillery made with barley grown in India, and brewing it with peated barley from Scotland! Thats why it’s called Fusion! Not just a clever name, it’s also an awesome cracking whisky, offering generous notes of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good amount of smoke, something that I love and look forward to these days in a malt.
On the nose, it’s rich, smokey, fruity, honey, with hints of citrus and spice. There is also some peat if you concentrate well.
The palate has a great experience of the flavours of the oak cask where it grew up, with hints of rich peat, coffee, apple and dark chocolate.
The finish is surprisingly long and spicy with a bit of sweetness, something which will make you take the next sip!!
If you like a good malt and want to try the Indian one, then this is a good choice friends. Enjoy and cheers!!
